Tapetum Lucidum 2019 – The 4th Taiwan International Cat Film Festival

“Tapetum Lucidum 2019 – The 4^th Taiwan International Cat Film Festival” is co-curated by Lee Ming-Yu and Liu Yung-hao. Being the first cat-themed art film festival in Asia and Taiwan, the 4th Taiwan International Cat Film Festival continues to focus on the importance of cats in the history of cinema and art, as well as the question of representation. How does a human being reproduce a cat in the gaze? And how is our world being gazed at by cats?

Since the first Taiwan International Cat Film Festival in 2016, it is now in its fourth year. In addition to the works by renowned artists from local and abroad, two pieces of animation works have been invited for the first time. The 4^th Taiwan International Cat Film Festival will be held at TheCube Project Space from 14 to 16 February 2019.
