TheCube Project Space is an independent art space devoted to the research, production and presentation of contemporary art. As a non-profit art organization, it aims to explore local culture in depth, connect people from diverse backgrounds, establish long-term relationships with artists and participants and promote cultural exchanges between Taiwan and the international community. 

TheCube Project Space has two venues: TheCube Gongguan and TheCube7F. Both venues are located in the immediate vicinity of top universities, a district enjoying rich cultural resources and where talented minds converge. A variety of bookstores, bars, live houses, restaurants and cafés are scattered around the streets and alleys. Located in this area, TheCube Project Space continues to engage in contemporary artistic practices, introducing artists from home and abroad, expecting to enrich southern Taipei’s features and contents in terms of culture and art.

By 2021, TheCube Project Space has held over 50 exhibitions along with more than 100 lecture and performance events. It has also published the results of its research projects in multiple forms such as archival website, publication, and online radio. Furthermore, it has collaborated with over 200 artists, researchers, cultural activists, and worked in tandem with several medium- and large-scale galleries, museums and foreign teams, such as the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of National Taipei University of Education, the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain, the Independent Curators International (New York), and the Total Museum of Contemporary Art (Seoul).

The exhibition ALTERing NATIVism: Sound Cultures in Post-War Taiwan organized by TheCube Project Space was the winner of the 13th Taishin Arts Award Grand Prize in 2015, and the exhibition monograph won the Best Book Editing of the Golden Tripod Awards in 2016.
