About the Vinyl
The vinyl captures Lim Giong’s 50-minute performance at the very first Sonic Shaman in 2022 — his first-ever live album. The sleeve is designed by Chang-Lien Hung — inducted into Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) in 2023 and the designer behind the Sonic Shaman festival’s main visual identity. The vinyl is a worldwide edition of 200; this campaign offers 20 collector’s copies with the artist’s autograph.
In Lim Giong’s Words
2022, at the first Sonic Shaman, I was invited to perform in a warehouse. The energy and commitment of the audience and the other young performers really moved me. Experimental music is a narrow road; not many people walk it. That someone is holding open a stage for young artists — that is worth supporting.
About the Artist
A music maker working primarily on film and documentary scores, Lim Giong has also composed for short films, commercials, dance, light installation art, and VR — collaborating across disciplines with artists from different fields. His recent work explores abstract electronic sound, experimental music, and ambient composition. All illusions, all lives — best viewed with equanimity.
